KHK USA Inc Shipping Policy

Effective: January 1, 2025

 

Scope

Welcome to KHK USA Inc (“KHK” or “we”).

KHK USA Inc. is the leading supplier of power transmission components designed for industrial automation applications in North America. We supply more than 27,000 configurations of metric-dimensioned power transmission components to companies and individuals throughout Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

We have published this Shipping Policy to explain how we ship the products you purchase on behalf of your business.

 

Choice of Carrier

We ship via UPS, FedEx, or the US Postal Service at our discretion unless otherwise specified by you. For all web portal orders placed via www.khkgears.us/cart, we ship with the freight charges prepaid. For orders placed via telephone, fax, or email, we will ship prepaid and add unless you provide a valid freight collect number. 

Orders that ship via your freight collect number and are debited back to KHK USA will be invoiced separately for the incurred freight costs and any associated collection fees.

 

When items will ship

We ship all orders immediately upon receipt, provided sufficient stock is on hand. All orders for in-stock products will ship within 24 hours of receipt. Backordered items will ship as per the quoted timeframe when the order is accepted. 

 

Factory Direct vs Warehouse Shipments

We ship most orders from our Mineola, New York warehouse. These "warehouse shipments" will ship under INCOTERMS—FOB: MINEOLA, NY. Some orders will ship directly from the factory in Kawaguchi, Japan. For these "Factory Direct" shipments, KHK USA Inc. will bear the cost of all freight charges, along with any associated customs duties and fees.

Warehouse shipments leaving ZIP CODE 11501 at the service level you select are subject to the carrier's delivery timetable. Factory Direct shipments will arrive on your dock on the third business day after your order is accepted*.

* Certain items, such as J-Series items, H-Series items, F-Series items, and E-Series items, are made to order and require additional time for production. 

 

Blanket Orders/Delivery Schedules

KHK USA Inc. accepts blanket orders and allows for scheduled deliveries of both stock and custom products. When a blanket order is accepted, the products will be produced by us on a schedule that mirrors the delivery schedule provided. KHK USA will allow up to 3 changes in the delivery schedule on each blanket order, provided all product is shipped within 18 months of the initial purchase order. If the quantity specified on the initial purchase order is not shipped within this period, if the amount is reduced, or if the purchase order is canceled, KHK USA reserves the right to invoice the customer for the adjusted cost of the actual quantity shipped. 

 

Other Important Information

KHK USA Inc. is a subsidiary of Kohara Gear Industry. The products of Kohara Gear Industry are sold worldwide through various distributors and resellers. This policy covers only KHK USA Inc. and its sale of products to businesses in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
